Every post to this blog will have a poem,
and reflect our need to let thoughts roam:
To imagine a world where people matter;
where poverty shrinks – not the wealthy get fatter;
Where we’ve got a chance to work hard and prove
that when we work together mountains get moved.
So here’s to a step in the right direction,
with a community focus and some good reflection.

Each New World Poet tweet will be
A poem of our imagining
Of a new world where people matter
And our concerns not seen as chatter.

Life’s about more than having stuff and money.
It’s about people and getting called Honey

A new world waits for us to step,
beyond this economy’s call to debt:
to raise up hope,
and our future’s scope;
to care about people, to press Reset.
Making life about people
We’ve done the money chasing thing.
Some of us better at that game.
It’s putting most of us at risk
So let’s agree on this one thing:
People matter more than almost
anything we’d buy,
Let’s spend more time just sharing time: giving community a try.
What can we do together next?
On our shared goals this site reflects.
